Maple and Sia is a distinctive female-led Art and Design home store offering a one-of-a-kind collection of handmade designs, arts, and crafts. Our diverse range of unique items gives you a choice to express your personal style by selecting pieces that resonate with your individuality. Rather than mass-producing products, we create our designs with passion and care, aiming to revitalize abandoned materials and support talented artisans. We take great pride in celebrating imperfections and honoring the character and history that accompanies them, and hope to transfer a part of their story to people’s home. Our selection of materials is carefully chosen for the stories they tell, and organic comfort for slow living. Our Story

Our story began in 2018 in Pakistan as a design house, where Maple and Sia focused on creating sustainable furniture from reclaimed wood to support local artisans who were losing their jobs to mass-produced products. Since then, our brand has evolved into a curated home store; while our vision has remained unchanged we produce variety of indigenous and organic products. Now based in Alberta, Canada, we continue to support local artisans from Canada and Pakistan, promoting sustainable crafts and original art through our designs. Our focus has shifted to include organic textiles made with natural dyes and hand block prints, crafted by master artisans in Pakistan. At Maple and Sia, we work closely with artist and artisans to create personalized pieces for your home.

Founder

Hi !
I am Xahra. The Founder and Creative Director of Maple and Sia. I hold a postgraduate degree from the University for the Creative Arts London, and I have devoted my career to designing sustainable furniture that reflects my personal identity while enhancing spaces and people's homes. I believe in investing in people and building strong relationships with talented individuals. I greatly admire the local artisans and their crafts and through my designs pay homage to the timeless past of the subcontinent. I perceive furniture as space makers and am a firm believer of less is more, which is why my designs have straight lines and simple approach; and create a mix cultural approach that merges past and present into a modern design. In addition to my Furniture designs, I work individually with each artist, ceramist and craftsmen to create bespoke pieces for your home. I am thrilled to elevate your space with my distinct Maple and Sia designs.
